Senior Emirates executives have revealed at this week’s Arabian Travel Market that the airline is close to launch a new first class luxury suite bedroom on its Airbus A380 and subsequently on its Boeing 777s.Described as more like a luxury private railway cabin that will cater for one passenger, the new suites will be rolled out amongst the existing fleet, and are described as more commercially viable for passengers”.
London is likely to be first route, with the new suite not coming as a surprise, as Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates revealed last year that the airline was in advanced stages” of talks to develop a new bedroom concept with its designers, considered to be aimed at competing directly with its competitor Etihad’s The Residence suites.
Pricing is reported to be at around the same levels as current First Class suite pricing, with Emirates reported not to be providing a private butler as with Etihad.
The current First Class suites already offer a bathroom with showers as pictured, with no confirmation whether the bedroom suites would replace or complement the current luxury offering, with rumours also suggesting that the new bedroom suites may be located on the A380s lower deck rather than on the upper deck as currently.
