UK customers heading to Malaysia, Cambodia, China and Laos can enjoy an even smoother journey thanks to eight new services from Thai Airways and subsidiary Thai Smile.http://www.bbtf.or.id/

Seamless trips from London Heathrow to Kota Kinabalu and Penang, in Malaysia and Siem Reap and Phnom Pehn in Cambodia will start from March 26,  as well as ones to Kunming and Xiamen, in China.

Flights to Luang Prabang, in Laos, are scheduled to start from October 1, with THAI’s new General Manager, Ms. Nonthakorn Trakulpa, saying the new services demonstrate the carrier’s commitment to connecting passengers to the places they want to visit with the minimum of fuss.

“As a long haul carrier we know that one of the most frustrating things from a passenger’s perspective is having to wait around for hours between connecting flights. That’s why we have worked hard with our partners at Thai Smile to make these transitions as quick and as smooth as possible so that customers arrive feeling as fresh and relaxed as they can.”

The new connecting services are being offered by Thai Smile to match up as conveniently as possible to THAI’s double daily flights from London Heathrow to Bangkok.

That means passengers heading to Kota Kinabalu only have a two hour turnaround at Bangkok after arriving on THAI’s non-stop A380 service from London, while those heading to Siem Reap will only have to wait an hour and forty minutes.

TG911 leaves Heathrow at 12:30 and arrives at Suvarnabhumi at 05.45. WE421 leaves Bangkok at 07:50 and arrives at Kota Kinabalu at 12:10, while WE588 leaves Suvarnabhumi at 07:25 and arrives at Siem Reap at 08:20.

Thai Airways International (THAI) is the national carrier of Thailand, a member of Star Alliance and operates uninterrupted double-daily flights from London to Bangkok flying the only non-stop A380 service between the two cities and a B777 service.

A return flight from London to Kota Kinabalu costs from £613 all inclusive.  THAI has regular promotions. For details visit www.thaiairways.com  or call 0844 561 0911.
