September 10, 2013 Ski No Comments Email Email

Falls Creek and Hotham Alpine Resorts have announced that from today they will extend an offer of 30% off lift passes, group snowsports lessons and equipment hire to season pass holders from Mt Baw Baw and Mt Buller – Monday 9 September until the season closes, inclusive.

Guests who present their Buller or Baw Baw season passes at any on-mountain Hotham or Falls Creek Ticket Office, will be eligible to receive 30% off one day lift passes, group snowsports lessons and equipment hire. Guests will also be offered a free mountain tour at Hotham departing at 10am each day (meet at Guest Services desk).

At Falls Creek, the season is still going strong with 13 of 14 lifts currently open and very good snow coverage, especially on the south facing slopes around Drovers, Towers Scott and Ruined Castle. The average natural snowdepth is 80cm and in snowmaking areas is 118cm.

Looking good for Spring, Hotham currently has 7 lifts open including Heavenly Valley with a snowdepth of 49cm and 90cm in snowmaking areas.

Just yesterday the National Ski Patrol exams were held at Falls Creek and participants commented on how great the snow conditions are for this time of year. The exams were originally scheduled to be held at Mt Buller.

Guests are enjoying sunshine, ‘forgiving’ snow and longer days – the perfect recipe for fun skiing and snowboarding.

The snow season officially ends on 29 September 2013 at Hotham and Falls Creek.
