New tourism products seen during ITE HCMC 2017

The International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC) is without doubt Vietnam’s largest and most established tourism event to provide great opportunities to meet international tourism companies offering new tourism products and to expand co-operation with important and potential domestic markets and service providers in the tourism industry. Actually ITE HCMC 2017 attracted international travel agencies from 40 countries and domestic territories. There was also a 20% increase in the number of international and local sellers and buyers, from 50 major markets throughout the three days of the exhibition during September 7-9, including the public Travel Fun Fair on September 9. The outstanding new tourism products to single out are the following (in alphabetical order):

  1. An Giang Tourism Promotion Center: An Giang is an important province in the Mekong Delta bordering onCambodia. With its two large cities of Long Xuyen and Chau Doc, it is home tohttp://www.granmonte.com/ Vietnamese, Chinese, Cham and Khmer people. Oc Eo is the old center of the ancientFunan Kingdom(www.angiangtourism.vn).
  1. Ba Ria-Vung Tau Department of Tourism: Located nearHo Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau is a famous province for beach vacation, cultural festivals, Eco-tourism and MICE tourism. Even there is a Pullman Hotel, while easy access is by land and sea (www.bariavungtautourism.com.vn).
  1. BenTre Tourism Promotion Center: Called “Coconut Land”, Ben Tre is a coastal province in the Mekong Delta connected by a bridge from My Tho Town in Tien Giang Province. Ben Tre is known for its eco-tourism and home stay potential as well as for its home of fruit plantations in Vietnam (www.svhttdl.bentre.gov.vn).

BinhThuan Tourism Promotion Center: Binh Thuan is a province in Central Vietnam and with its coastline of 192km it is known for beautiful beaches, landscapes, sea sports activities and delicious seafood.   1. Ca Mau Tourism Information andPromotionCenter: Ca Mau province is the most southern province in the Mekong Delta Region of Vietnam. It has a coastline of 254km and three sides are facing the sea with fishing ground, which brings about a great source of seafood (www.camautourism.vn).
  1. Cambodia Ministry of Tourism:Cambodiais famous for its world heritage sites of Angkor in Siem Reap, Preah Vihear and Sambor Prei Kuk. The NagaWorld Hotel & Casino in Phnom Penh is well known as well as the idyllic beaches in Sihanoukville   (www.tourismcambodia.org).
  1. Can ThoCityTourism Development Center: Can Tho City is located in the center of the Mekong Delta Region with favorable conditions to develop MICE tourism. Famous is the busy Cai Rong floating market and its memorial of Ho Chi Minh in the city park

  1. Da NangCenter for Tourism Promotion: Da Nang is well known for its famous China Beach and as gateway to the world heritage sites of Hoi An old trading town and the My Son sanctuary of the former Champa Kingdom (www.tourism.danang.vn).
  1. DakLak Tourism Promotion Information Center: Dak Lak is a mountainous province famous for its elephant festival, gong festival, coffee festival, and dug-out canoe racing. Buon Ma Thuot is the important city (www.daktip.vn).
  1. Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism: Gia Lai is a mountainous province with many waterfalls and lakes. Jarai and Bahnar are the dominant ethnic minorities.PleikuCity has an important airport (www.svhttdl.gialai.gov.vn).
  1. Hai Phong City Department of Tourism:HaiphongCity is 102km far from Ha Noi and is known as a paradise of eco-tourism with its Don Son Peninsula and Cat Ba Island near Ha Long Bay in the north of Vietnam (www.sodulichhaiphong.gov.vn).
  1. Hau Giang Tourism Information andPromotionCenter: Hau Giang is a province south of Can Tho City in the Mekong Delta and features the famous Nga Bay Phung Hiep floating market inherent in waterway tourism (www.xtdl.haugiang.gov.vn).
  1. IndiaTourism Singapore: India Tourism is a national tourist organization of the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of India based inSingapore. The most favorite destination currently in India is Kerala in the southwestern part of the country (www.incredibleindia.org).
  1. Indonesia Ministry of Tourism:Indonesiais promoting its tourism under the “Wonderful Indonesia” brand, especially the island of Bali, where mostly a Hindu population contributes to the uniqueness of the culture of the 13,000 islands (www.indonesia.travel).
  1. Jetstar Pacific Airlines: Jetstar Pacific is the first low cost airline inVietnamand operates 36 domestic and international routes. A new flight from Chiang Mai in Thailand to Dong Hoi in Quang Binh in Central Vietnam has just begun (www.jetstar.com).
  1. Kon Tum Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism: Kon Tum is a mountainous province and the most northern one in the Central Highlands. InKonTum City there is the Kon Tum Province Museum and a wooden church to visit. There is also the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Three-Border Marker not to be missed at the Bo Y International Border Gate, where Ratanakiri in Cambodia and Attapeu in Laos come together (www.svhttdl.kontum.gov.vn).
  1. Long An Tourism Information and Promotion Center: Long An is the first province to reach from Ho Chi Minh City traveling on National Highway 1A to the Mekong Delta. Long An Museum in Tan An City is an important place to study the local Oc Eo culture (www.dulichlongan.vn)..
  1. Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association: Khanh Hoa is a coastal province with a coastline of 385km, beautiful bays and more than 200 islands.NhaTrang City is a famous beach resort destination (www.khata.vn).

21: Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ho Chi Minh City Office: TAT HCMC is in charge of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Amazing Thailand is still marketed as the “Land of Smiles” (www.tourismthailand.org.vn).

  1. Tra Vinh Tourism Promotion andInformationCenter: Tra Vinh is a coastal province in the Mekong Delta, where the Khmer make 30% of the population with some 140 old Khmer pagodas. It has a 65km long coastline (www.dulichtravinh.com.vn).

VietnamAirlines: As the national flag carrier of Vietnam, headquartered in the capital Ha Noi, Vietnam Airlines operates 92 routes to 20 domestic and 29 international destinations with average 400 daily flights.
