New ultra-luxury small ship cruising, in-depth Small Group Discovery tours and a bolstered line up of Freedom of Choice touring options will give guests more ability than ever to personalise their Canada & Alaska experience with APT in 2018.

Available to agents now, APT’s new Canada & Alaska featuring USA 2018 brochure includes a new option to sail the Inside Passage to with six star operator Seabourn.

The Ultra Luxury Alaska Cruise will be offered in conjunction with three new Classic Journey land tour itineraries, two of which include a stay at the Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon, British Columbia – a European style retreat owned by the former head of the Swarovski company and bejeweled with 3.5 million crystals.

Meanwhile a new Small Group Discovery tour with a maximum of 20 guests will venture to Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories, where guests will stay in the new Skywatch Resort & Spa, which is ideal for viewing the northern lights.

Commenting on the new brochure, APT Executive General Manager Steve Reynolds said the new touring and cruising additions highlighted the vast range of touring options available in North America with APT.

“Classic Land Journeys remain at the heart of what we do in Canada, but for those looking for something a bit different we also offer Remote Journeys to harder to reach destinations, Small Group Discoveries and Luxury Small Ship Cruising.”

“These combined with our expanded Freedom of Choice Touring options means that no two APT Canada & Alaska experiences need ever be exactly the same.”

This year’s brochure details over 100 Freedom of Choice touring options, which allow guests to choose from a menu of sightseeing activities at selected destinations.

Activities are now grouped into five themes, Nature & Wildlife, Culture & Heritage, Gourmet Delight, Active Exploration and Relax & Revive, helping travellers to identify which activities they are likely to enjoy.

For example in Banff, guests might choose to get to know the Canmore Eagles Ice Hockey team on the Ice Hockey Player for a Day tour – a Culture & Heritage experience – or Relax & Revive at the Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Banff Springs.

For those looking for the quintessential Canada & Alaska touring experience,  APT’s  18 day Rockies Highlights & Alaska Cruise is priced from $11,595 per person twin share.  Guests on this Western Canada favourite take in Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise before continuing their journey through the Rockies and across to Vancouver on the Rocky Mountaineer, on which they enjoy GoldLeaf Service.

After two nights in Vancouver, guests head south to Seattle, where they embark on a seven night Holland America Line cruise of the Inside Passage, taking in the breathtaking Glacier Bay National Park, the Russian influenced Sitka and Ketchikan, the gateway to the Misty Fjords National Monument wilderness.

On Canada’s East Coast, the Discover Eastern Canada & The Maritimes itinerary, priced from $11,995 per person twin share, combines a Classic Journey land tour of Toronto, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Mont Tremblant, Quebec City and Montreal with a seven day Small Group Discovery of the maritime provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

Throughout APT’s Canada & Alaska program, Signature Experiences such as the opportunity to meet a Mountie in Banff, a Sail Away Dinner at the Pinnacle Grill on board the Holland America Line, an after-hours visit to The Butchart Gardens in Victoria, and the chance to sight bears on a Blue River Safari, ensure every tour includes once-in-a lifetime experiences.

All APT North America tours are accompanied by an APT Tour Director and prices are fully-inclusive with transfers, port charges, gratuities, and sightseeing and meals as detailed on each itinerary. Classic Journey land tours are capped at 40 passengers and road travel is by luxury coach.

To celebrate the release of the Canada & Alaska featuring USA 2018 program, APT have a range of Superdeals, including a Companion Fly Free from Australia offer for select itineraries. On selected tours, guests may also choose to fly business class from Australia for $5,995 or Premium Economy from $2,595.

All Superdeal offers are subject to terms and conditions and must be booked before 30 November 2017.
