New Trade Partnership Manager, Australia

Tourism Fiji has announced the appointment of Mr Jason Sacriz as Trade Partnerships Manager- Australia, commencing this week.

Announcing the appointment, Tourism Fiji CEO, Matthew Stoeckel said this newly-created role underlines the importance of trade relationships and reinforces the determination of Tourism Fiji to deliver the very highest standards of service to the industry.

“We are delighted to welcome Jason to this important role, and the appointment reflects Tourism Fiji’s increased focus on working more closely with our trade partners in the Australian market,” Mr Stoeckel said.

With extensive experience in trade partnerships and marketing, in his new role, Mr Sacriz will focus on maintaining and developing relations with key wholesalers and retailers and all operators in the travel industry.

“Fiji is a favourite destination for Australians and this is the biggest source market for Fiji tourism. My focus will be on working with our partners to continue growing this market so even more travellers will be inspired to make Fiji number one on their holiday wishlist,” Mr Sacriz said

“A true paradise, Fiji has so much to offer everyone. Ranging from the affordable to luxurious, it is the perfect, idyllic holiday, wedding or honeymoon destination.  Families, couples, singles and adventurers have discovered that Fiji truly is where happiness finds you.”

Mr Sacriz brings a wealth of experience to the role, with close to 20 years in travel and tourism.  He has worked in a range of marketing and product development roles and held senior positions in destination management with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Macau Government Tourist Office and Destination NSW. Mr Sacriz has also held management roles in the wholesale and cruise sectors.

He joins the Australian team of Kara Nelson (VIC, TAS, SA) and David McMahon (NSW, ACT, QLD).  Recruitment is still underway for the appointment of the Regional Manager, Australia, who will lead the team in Australia.
