Episode one of the anticipated new web series Plonk debuts today. Find the first episode now at with an episode released every day until Friday.

Set in the stunning wine regions of New South Wales, the hilarious behind-the-scenes comedy follows the trials and tribulations of a hapless TV crew as they endeavor to create a unique and engaging wine show.  Each of the 5 episodes in Plonk’s first series explores a different NSW wine region, highlighting the quality and diversity of experiences available.

Plonk has been supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW. CEO of Destination NSW, Sandra Chipchase said, “This series showcases some of our State’s most stunning and inspiring countryside through the eyes of these great characters. They have light-heartedly put the spotlight on our regional wine and tourism experiences that are vital to our State’s Visitor Economy and at the same time made everyone who watches laugh.”

The show is the brainchild of Nathan Earl, who’s teamed up with his production partner, Glen Condie of Wonder Communications. Playing comedic caricatures of themselves, the ensemble cast also includes Chris Taylor (The Chaser) as the shows celebrity front man, Nathan Earl as the struggling producer and Joshua Tyler, “The Expert” who writes his own blog

Earl commented “Glen and myself have been blown away by the wine industry’s level of excitement and support for Plonk. We’ve always seen the show as a comedic love letter to an industry which has given us plenty of great nights, long lunches and weekends to remember.”

“Like a great wine Plonk is destined to arrive with hope and anticipation, deliver nuanced flavours and provide memorable experiences then eventually become sluggish and flat with age.”
