New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel, the official hotel for Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic which will be performed from 25 to 28 January 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, co-organised with Feld Entertainment, producer of “Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic,” for a “Meet & Greet” Party for Hong Kong underprivileged children on Sunday, 21 January 2018.

30 children of low income families aged eight to 12 were invited through St James’ Settlement to join this fun-filled party held in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom.  The party featured “Disney On Ice”- themed activities, including a colouring contest, show preview, and photo time with Disney stars, along with a gift of 60 complimentary show tickets for the children and their parents to enjoy the show together.

“This is the first year we are the official hotel for “Disney On Ice” and we could think of no better way to celebrate than to collaborate with the show producer to share the wonder of the incredible “Disney On Ice” show with children who might otherwise not be able to experience it,” said Rene Teuscher, general manager of New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel.

The party was an extension of a New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel’s partnership with St James’ Settlement, in which for the last five years the hotel has provided experiential training for students to learn in a realistic working environment.  Awarded by Hong Kong Council of Social Service as “Caring Company” every year since 2004, the hotel is committed to fulfilling social responsibility through charitable contributions, donations-in-kind and meaningful partnerships with social welfare organisations.

“In the years to come, we will continue and intensify our corporate social responsibility efforts,” said Mr. Teuscher.  “Starting this year, we have launched an initiative to encourage associates’ participation in voluntary work by granting additional “charity leave” to those who take part in voluntary services organised by the hotel.”
