New Year brings in organisational changes at PRHG

Pacific Resort Hotel Group ended 2013 with a great list of accomplishments, and without the hard work and dedication of every team member, this growth and achievement would not have been possible.

The start of 2014 has brought in a number of changes within the company and it is with great sadness that PRHG bids farewell to one of our key team members, New Zealand-based Sales Manager Melanie Hall, who has been instrumental in growing the organisation’s market share out of Australia and New Zealand. Melanie’s leaving the group is to focus on family life and PRHG is supportive of her decision to move on.

As PRHG continues to grow and develop the group has taken this opportunity to expand Melanie’s role of Sales Manager – New Zealand/Australia (Part Time) into a new role titled Group Sales Manager (Full Time) – reporting directly the GM Sales, Marketing & Reservations. It is on this note that PRHG is pleased to announce that Maree Surrey will assume this new position, encompassing Melanie’s current responsibilities in the New Zealand and Australian markets as well as taking over the sales efforts for all global markets as well as all OTA relationships and will also support our ongoing sales and marketing development projects across the group.

Maree brings to PRHG over 20 years’ of sales and marketing expertise across a wide range of tourism and tourism related products.  For the past 3 ½ years Maree has been working with RéserveGroup and a range of Cook Islands clients including Pacific Resort Hotel Group, Cook Islands Tourism and Turama amongst others and has a real passion for the Cook Islands. Maree was also formerly with Bayview International Hotels and Resorts where she held the position of NZ Marketing Manager.

Nan Thompson has been promoted from the PRHG Central Reservations Office to the role of Front Office Manager for Pacific Resort Rarotonga adding greater capacity to the front office team and assisting the resort in further enhancing its service levels. This move is part of PRHG’s ongoing commitment to internal career development within the company.

Te Manava Luxury Villas & Spa will also be undergoing some new changes in 2014, and Pacific Resort Hotel Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Jane Hercus and Todd Zander as the Management Couple for the five-star property.

It is an exciting year ahead for PRHG, with these new changes fundamental to our growth and ongoing success moving forward.
