The most exciting time of year is coming up once again and with it, the eternal question – how to celebrate New Year’s Eve? In answer, Stokehouse has the perfect evening on offer for revellers; whether they choose an indulgent dinner party or a festive night out at Stoke Bar.

Stokehouse is the ultimate setting to ring in the New Year, with its unrivalled position on the banks of the Brisbane River and open-plan format to take advantage of the balmy summer evening and catch the spectacular fireworks shows over the river.

Stoke Food ImageStokehouse will be hosting two dinner sittings on December 31st, so diners can start their celebrations early or linger later into the night.

On arrival, guests will be treated to a glass of Champagne to kick off the evening in fitting style and toast to the year that has been. Then, be seated for dinner and make resolutions for 2014 over four sumptuous courses, designed by Head Chef Richard Ousby.

Indulge in a first entree of Hervey Bay scallop ceviche, green gazpacho, new season verjuice; followed by roasted Moreton Bay Bug, salt baked onion, Iberico jamon, fresh peas. This will be followed by your choice of delicious main course, including char-grilled Rangers Valley rump cap, young garlic, green asparagus, patron peppers; or grilled local fish, roasted grapes, summer greens, sweet corn dressing.

To finish, select from seasonal summer berries, burnt vanilla cream, strawberry jelly, almond crumble; or the cheese plate – muscatels, quince, fruit & nut loaf, lavosh.

The Stokehouse New Year’s Eve dinner sittings are $185 per person and bookings are essential, so reserve your table now.

Following dinner, carry on the festivities at Stoke Bar, which is open all night and offers incredible views of the river and fireworks displays from the open deck. There is no cover charge for the bar and it is open to the public, offering the perfect alternative to overcrowded nightclubs and a guaranteed fabulous New Year’s Eve.

Stoke Bar will be open all night for New Year’s Eve and with an extensive list of fine wines, premium beers and flavoursome cocktails on offer, as well as a delectable food menu, this is the ideal place to end 2013 on a high note.

Whether you opt for a decadent dinner or a night of revelry in the bar, ensure the most memorable end to 2013 and the most fabulous start to 2014 by spending your New Year’s Eve at Stokehouse!

Kick on the festivities the next day as well, with the return of Stokehouse’s much-loved New Year’s Day recovery party. Relax and recuperate in the restaurant from 12.00pm, or head for the Stoke Bar deck to enjoy cocktails, delicious bar food and a line-up of Brisbane’s hottest DJs from 1.00pm until late.
