New York Water Taxi Coming To New York Wheel

April 5, 2014 Attraction No Comments Email Email

NY-Staten Island is re-inventing the wheel and New York Water Taxi will help navigate a future for the North Shore by adding the St. George stop to its All Day Access Pass route.

This location is the future home to The New York Wheel and Empire Outlets, two of New York’s newest attractions reconstructing the Staten Island skyline. The sites are expected to deliver 6 million people to the island annually and are prominently accessible via waterborne transportation. The addition of the stop to NYWT’s daily harbor tour will further develop the waterfront network, unique to the company’s product which connects New York’s famous boroughs, skyline and landmarks. 165594_num694994_600x600

The All Day Access Pass currently runs daily, connecting Midtown, Christopher Street, Battery Park, Wall Street and DUMBO on a continuous loop. The ticket, which costs $30 offers guests the opportunity to hop on and off at any of the key locations around Manhattan and Brooklyn. The guided tour highlights museums, restaurants, architecture, attractions and cultural institutions along the route which guests can integrate into their adventure.

“New York Water Taxi is committed to its role as a connector of the waterfront. We are very excited about the development going on in Staten Island and want to create an ability for locals and tourists to be able to visit without taking their cars,” explained Brian McCabe, Chief Operating Officer, New York Water Taxi and Circle Line Downtown. “Our mission is to take visitors to see all of the well-known attractions and landmarks and there is no doubt that The New York Wheel will be one of the most exciting destinations in New York. As demand grows we will explore additional or dedicated services to offer connections from around the city”, McCabe added.

“New York Water Taxi fits perfectly with our mission of connecting the Wheel and Empire Outlets to multiple locations across New York Harbor” added Travis Noyes, Chief Marketing Officer, The New York Wheel.

The New York Wheel is set to open in 2016 and the New York Water Taxi service to the St. George location will align with the opening of The Wheel. Visit www.nywatertaxi.com for more information on the All Day Access Pass.
