RADWIN (http://www.radwin.com), the global sub-6 GHz broadband wireless leader, today announced that Hornblower Niagara Cruises – the official Canadian Tour Boat operator in Niagara Falls – has deployed RADWIN’s FiberinMotion® mobility solution to provide high-speed wireless connectivity onboard its boats. Maresco Telecom Group, a leading full-service solution provider, was in charge of project design and implementation.
John Deere, Executive Manager, Hornblower Niagara Cruises: “We sought to provide a high-speed, low latency connection onboard the boats at all points during the cruise and chose RADWIN. RADWIN’s FiberinMotion wireless mobility solutions have enabled us to establish a unified and secure network for Wi-Fi, security cameras, live streaming and point-of-sale (POS) equipment. The FiberinMotion base stations and the subscriber units deployed onboard the boats are rugged and waterproof and operate even in misty conditions, giving us the ultra-throughput we need to run multiple applications.”
John Corsetti, General Manager, Maresco Telecom Group: “We recommended RADWIN for this project based on our positive experience with the brand. The FiberinMotion IP-67 rated systems are simply the best ones out there, providing non-stop robust connectivity on-the-move.”
Dennis Stipati, GM RADWIN North America: “FiberinMotion is deployed in countless installations in ports and aboard boats and ferries that need to provide always-on connectivity for operators and passengers. FiberinMotion supplies uninterrupted connectivity of up to 250 Mbps and enables a connection where previously it was not possible to establish one. Rugged and robust, the solution operates in the most adverse environments.”
