Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta invites guests to indulge in a range of distinctive beer flavours from 21 September to 18 October 2015. Nishimura’s Japanese chef, Hideki Chomei, will display his expertise through an appetising set menu pleasantly paired with beers from the renowned local brewery, Stark Beer.
Throughout dinner, Nishimura will bring a fresh new punch to the Japanese dining experience with a selection that includes three beer variants ranging from a light and fruity Wheat Beer to a creamier full-bodied Dark Wheat Beer.
The seven-course dinner starts with Cheese Tofu Tomato Salad as appetiser, followed by Maguro Tataki Carpaccio. These are beautifully accompanied by the light and fruity Stark Wheat Beer that adds a fresh, crispy punch to both dishes.
Chef Chomei then proceeds with an enticing set of boiled, deep-fried and grilled dishes. Guests are presented White Fish with Vegetable in Japanese Chowder and Deep-Fried Salmon Katsu with Three Kinds of Sauces, which are paired with citrus-scented Stark Lager Beer.
Beef aficionados can indulge in Grilled Beef Marinated in Miso and served with Foie Gras and Yakiniku Rice Burger that come with the full-bodied Stark Dark Wheat Beer.
To end the dinner on a sweet note, Nishimura closes the deal by adding one of its signature desserts to the course. Guests can enjoy the sweet-tasting Mango Pudding, which will be the cherry on top of the delightful evening.
