Nok Air today announced that it is taking preventive action to ensure the safety of its passengers by eliminating the risk of exposure to the Ebola virus.

Effective 21 August, 2014, all inbound international flights will be sprayed with a disinfectant approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) prior to landing, followed by a deep cleaning on the ground after arrival.

Nok Air cabin crew and ground staff will also be on alert for passengers displaying symptoms of Ebola, and will alert the airport doctor and quarantine officer if necessary.

“Safety is our number one priority at Nok Air and we will not take any risks when it comes to the safety of our passengers. We will carry out all international standard preventive measures as needed to keep our passengers and crew safe,” states Nok Air CEO Patee Sarasin.
