NokScoot targets travel agent channel with first partner, Sabre

NokScoot05New low-cost long-haul carrier NokScoot has signed its first comprehensive distribution agreement, choosing Sabre Travel Network to merchandise its expanding inventory through the Asia Pacific region’s leading travel agent channel.

Over 100,000 Sabre-connected travel agents can now shop and book the Thai carrier, based at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport, the world’s largest in terms of budget airline passenger numbers. NokScoot currently operates services to Nanjing and Taipei, and will add Qingdao by the end of this year, subject to regulatory approval.

Piya Yodmani, chief executive officer of NokScoot said, “With Sabre Travel Network, we can build a strong brand presence within the travel agent channel, reaching the wider feeder markets with our differentiated value proposition. Sabre will also help to promote our two-class service and the new routes that we have planned.”


NokScoot also provides a premium cabin class, Scootbiz, which includes preferred seat selection and a 20kg baggage allowance.

We are therefore confident that we can contribute to NokScoot’s revenue growth and accelerate this exciting new entrant’s regional expansion plans.”
