In the wake of the region’s successful inaugural Plan A Cruise Month promotion, the association has added an additional award for the “Best Cruise Month Promotion” across Australia and New Zealand.
CLIA member agents are encouraged to visit the website and submit entries for the new category as well as three other key categories: Agent Promotion of the Year (Australia & New Zealand) and Network Promotion of the Year (Australasia).
A total of 20 awards will be on offer at the cruise industry’s ‘night of nights’ including Cruise Agency of the Year, Online Agency of the Year, Homebased/Mobile Agent of the Year (Broker in NZ), Cruise Consultant of the Year, the Rising Star award and the latest entrant to the CLIA Hall of Fame, as nominated by CLIA members.
CLIA Australasia Commercial Director Manager Brett Jardine said the awards were growing in line with the booming local cruise industry.
“The Cruise Industry Awards is the biggest night on the cruise calendar. It’s a wonderful event where cruise lines get the chance to recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of agents who have been making waves in the industry,” Mr Jardine said.
Submissions for the 2016 awards close on Thursday December 22, 2016.
The 16th annual Cruise Industry Awards will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017 at the Star Event Centre Sydney.
Tickets for the awards will go on sale later this year.
