Noosa Lights Up With New Resorts, Restaurants & Events!

It has been an exciting year in Noosa with a revitalisation of resorts, restaurants and new events heading to Noosa.  Here is a quick look at what is new in Noosa.

New Restaurants

Miss Moneypenny’s – Located on Hastings Street towards the Noosa Woods, Miss Moneypenny’s is the brainchild of acclaimed mixology master Ben Walsh.  The restaurant offers a smart cocktail and dining destination providing a salivating menu of liquid creations, along with a gourmet selection of sharing plates and Mediterranean home style inspired cuisine.  www.miss-moneypennys.com.au

Locale  –  Rio Capurso of Lindoni’s fame [which closed earlier this year] has teamed up with Brent Ogilvie from Rickys to create Locale, a modern Italian trattoria. Located in the French Quarter on Hastings Street, Locale is open from 11.00am for lunch, dinner and everything in between. www.localenoosa.com.au

French Sin – Soon to open on Weyba Road, Noosaville, just a short stroll down from the Noosa Farmers Markets is French Sin, providers of authentic French delicatessen products and baked goods. Noosa Beach House Peter Kuruvita – One of Australia’s most acclaimed and well-regarded chefs, Peter Kuruvita has brought his excellence to Noosa with the opening of a new restaurant, Noosa Beach House Peter Kuruvita. Upcoming Events

The Slam Festival – Returning to Noosa for the third year on Saturday 14th December, the Slam Festival features an amateur beach volleyball competition located at some of the best beaches in Australia and will return to Noosa’s Main Beach. The festival has become the largest volleyball event in the southern hemisphere and will be a big hit on the summer calendar! www.slamfestival.com.au

Noosa Summer Swim  –  Join series ambassador Michael Klim on the start line and head to Noosa’s Main Beach on Saturday 1st February 2014 for the Milk & Co Queensland Ocean Swim Series featuring the Noosa Summer Swim. The event includes classic ocean swimming distances of the 1km and 2km races along with a 300m Nippers Surf Dash as well as an exciting new teams relay format.www.weekendwarriorevents.com.au

Medibank Wave Warriors Junior Challenge – This junior surf lifesaving event was developed by Zane Holmes and will visit Noosa for the second year on Saturday 22nd February 2014. A great family weekend.  www.wavewarriors.com.au
