TravelManagers’ Victoria based personal travel managers Karen Doyle, representative for South Yarra, Katy Hurd, representative for Mount Eliza and Penny Meallin representative for Monbulk, together with Peter Carmichael, representative for Merewether in New South Wales, were recently reminded you don’t have to travel overseas to enjoy a wonderfully diverse holiday, it’s all here in Australia’s North West.
The personal travel managers each recently experienced a unique part of the stunningly beautiful Northern Western Australia on a famil trip hosted by Australia’s North West Tourism. Participants on the mega-famil had the opportunity to experience one of five different itineraries. Victoria based personal travel managers Doyle, Hurd and Meallin immersed themselves in Broome and Eco Beach whilst Carmichael experienced the best Gibb River Road and Kununurra had to offer.
TravelManagers’ personal travel managers left to right Katy Hurd, Karen Doyle and Penny Meallin simply ‘glowing’ after the healing powers of mangrove mud from Jack’s Creek.
Carmichael found it difficult to choose a highlight from his adventure packed itinerary.
“The sunset camel ride along Cable Beach was a fantastic way to start our Kimberly adventure and I enjoyed our beer tasting at Matso’s Broome Brewer. Our 4WD adventure, overnight at Home Valley Station with its breathtaking towering gorges and stunning ancient landforms and ranges; the unique El Questro Wilderness Park being a million acres in size in the untamed Kimberley region as well as a scenic flight over the Bungle Bungles were certainly highlights.”
TravelManagers’ personal travel managers left to right Karen Doyle, Penny Meallin and Katy Hurd enjoy an adventurous helicopter ride over Willie Creek pearl farm on the North Western Australia mega famil.
For Doyle it was the ‘mud and bubbles’ experience that was extremely memorable.
“It’s not every day a girl gets to enjoy a glass of bubbles whilst being completely covered in mud! The mangrove mud from Jack’s Creek is said to have healing powers, I’m not one hundred percent convinced about that, but my skin definitely felt smooth afterwards so it must have done something!” laughs Doyle.
The mega famil was unique in that each itinerary culminated at the Cable Beach Club Resort in Broome, where each group presented their experiences before enjoying a farewell dinner.
“The final night get together was a fantastic way to learn more about North West Australia. From my own personal experiences and that of the other participants, I feel more aware of the many different products available in this region. I feel I confidently plan and implement my client’s holiday plans with ease now,” says Meallin.
