Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Celebrates Three Years Since Opening Of Australasian Headquarters

This month marks the third anniversary of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) opening its regional headquarters in Sydney.

“It’s been three years since we opened our office and call centres in Sydney and Hong Kong and what a journey it has been. We have been extremely successful in building an incredibly strong foundation for each of our three brands: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.” said Mr Steve Odell, Senior Vice President & Managing Director Asia Pacific, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

“Our local cruise market continues to grow exponentially, with Asia Pacific delivering the fastest growth in the world. NCLH has continued to capitalise on this potential. We have expanded our regional operations from one office in Sydney to eight across Asia Pacific, proudly employing almost 200 staff, including a network of dedicated Business Development Managers who have helped us forge close and meaningful relationships with the travel agent and wholesale community.”

“Further heightening brand performance across the region is central to the next phase of our growth strategy and, given most of our bookings are made through our valued trade partners, continued collaboration and extending exceptional support will remain essential to our strategy of ensuring this growth translates into mutual business success.”

Mr Odell also credited constant investment in the product offering and increased local deployment across all three brands as a key contributor to NCLH’s regional success.

“Seasonal homeporting of the recently refurbished Norwegian Jewel has definitely helped fuel regional bookings, and Norwegian Jade’s deployment to Asia next year will further bolster growth. Our upper-premium brand, Oceania Cruises, has the recently refurbished Insignia and Regatta visiting local waters this season. Our all-inclusive luxury line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, is currently undertaking an extensive circumnavigation of Australia on board Seven Seas Mariner, withSeven Seas Navigator also sailing regionally this season. Seven Seas Explorer®, ‘The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built™’, will also be arriving in Australia and New Zealand for the first time in 2020. These ships visiting local waters further illustrates NCLH’s ongoing commitment to the Asia Pacific and are something we only expect to increase over time,” he said.
