Norwegian, Europe’s third largest low cost airline, has today put its late summer 2016 schedule on sale with a record 1.1 million seats available on flights to and from the UK.

Over 6,000 flights are available to book now at www.norwegian.com for travel between 15 August and 30 October next year – up around 5% compared to the same period in 2015 as the airline continues its UK growth.

Norwegian has made flights available to book from London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham to 34 destinations across Europe and America. Key destinations expected to be popular for the summer holidays and October half term include Boston, Orlando and the Canary Islands.

Thomas Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer for Norwegian, said: “Today Norwegian has made a record 1.1 million seats available to buy on routes to and from the UK for summer 2016 – helping holidaymakers to secure the best deals by booking in advance. Next summer is set to be Norwegian’s biggest ever in the UK as our free Wi-Fi and unique low cost services to America continue to attract record numbers of passengers.

“We expect to see demand for the Canary Islands continue to grow in 2016 as well as key Spanish destinations such as Alicante and Barcelona. Further afield Norwegian will be launching four flights per week to Boston and Orlando will return to the schedule for summer.”

Routes now on sale for summer 2016 include:

  • London to Barcelona from £34.90 one way
  • London to Boston from £149 one way
  • London to Los Angeles from £199 one way
  • Birmingham to Madrid from £34.90 one way
  • Manchester to Oslo from £43.80 one way
  • Edinburgh to Malaga from £39.80 one way

Norwegian is the only airline to offer free WiFi across its European network, and the only carrier to offer low cost flights to America from the UK. The airline carries over 3.9 million passengers annually to and from the UK, and is the third largest airline to operate from London Gatwick. The airline has one of the youngest fleets in the world, and exclusively operates 787 Dreamliner aircraft on all routes to and from America.
