Novotel Surfers Paradise Completes Multi-Million Dollar Refurbishment in Time for Commonwealth Games

AccorHotel’s most recent Gold Coast aquisition, Novotel Surfers Paradise, is open for business after undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation in the lead up to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Since joining the AccorHotels network in October 2016, the hotel has undergone a multi-million dollar refurbishment of its guestrooms, events and conferencing spaces.

The rooms have been given a modern face-lift with subtle local design references, bringing a new level of contemporary comfort and quality. Designed for ease of use, the light open spaces draw on textures and colours from Surfers Paradise and the surrounding natural environment.

Every guest room has been updated with modern tech and ease of connection, with in-room WiFi and bedside USB ports.

1.5 million spectators are expected to attend the Commonwealth Games in April, with an expected 672,000 visitors looking for accomodation.

Novotel Surfers Paradise boasts 408 guest rooms, each with private balcony overlooking spectaular ocean or hinterland views. The large outdoor swimming pool, full-size tennis court and well equipped fitness centre will ensure active guests have plenty to do when not watching the Games.

In addition to room upgrades, Novotel Surfers Paradise now offers six conference rooms including the Grand Ballroom which can comfortably cater for up to 500 delgates. The spaces offer natural light and removable walls allowing flexible meeting capabilities.

For foodies, Hanlan’s restaurant located on level one, offers a succulent seafood buffet featuring fresh prawns, oysters and international cuisines. The extensive a-la-carte menu is constantly changing to give locals and travellers a unique experience every time they visit.

Located 150 metres from the iconic Surfers Paradise beach and G-link running alongside the hotel, Novotel Surfers Paradise is the perfect hotel for business, leisure and family getaways.

In addition to  room upgrades, Novotel Surfers Paradise has formed a partnership with Surfers Paradise Surf Lifesaving Club, which has allowed them to make available a re-launch offer called the Sun and Sea Package. The Australian first package, allows parents to enrol their children into a half day Nippers holiday program when they stay with Novotel. The program teaches kids about sun safety and basic surf swimming skills.

The Novotel Surfers Paradise property joins Sofitel Gold Coast and Mecure Gold Coast in AccorHotel’s Gold Coast portfolio and will bring a new level of contemporary comfort and quality.
