One of Sydney Olympic Park’s most popular venues to visit before or after a concert or sporting event, The Brewery has undergone a transformation with new interiors, menus, craft beer, entertainment and a new name to create an even more inviting and modern dining and drinking space.
The new-look Brewery Bar + Kitchen has launched with updated interiors including new furniture, outdoor seating, lighting, wall fittings, plants and staff uniforms to move away from its former reputation as a ‘blokey sports bar’ and attract a more diverse clientele including families, females and millennials.
New menus have been launched by recently appointed Executive Chef Nicholas Blair who has joined The Brewery bar + Kitchen from high profile and international establishments including the Shangari-La Pudong East Hotel as well as Fairmont and Intercontinental hotels in Asia.
Nicholas has introduced a medley of small sharing plates and tasting boards, plank pizzas and big plates which cater to a wide variety of tastes and hunger levels. Signature dishes include a warm duck & coconut salad, the Arabian plank pizza and the spicy pork ‘Sichucan’ style.
The Brewery Bar + Kitchen will also offer daily specials to entice local residents and businesses to visit mid-week, which include: Monday $10 pint & schnitzel, Tuesday $12 pizza planks, Wednesday feature beer and wine tasting, and Thursday (ladies night) a selection of fresh fruit cocktails that will be accompanied by a live DJ playing funk and soul from 5pm.
As the name suggests, The Brewery Bar + Kitchen will be serving up its own craft beer Brick Pit Cream Ale, named after the local site’s fascinating past. Locally brewed by Breakaway Brewing, Brick Pit has been fine-tuned by ‘master brewer’ Logan White to create a mellow, smooth session ale, enhanced by a soft, fruity character. While it’s perfect on its own, Brick Pit Cream Ale also matches wonderfully with new menu items ‘The Brewery Schnitzel’ and ‘The Sneaky Cheesy’.
The Brewery Bar + Kitchen is located on the lower ground floor of the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park hotel, and is conveniently positioned between the Olympic Park train station and ANZ Stadium. On special event nights, the venue can extend its service areas for up to 5,000 people and turns up the live music to create an energetic atmosphere in the precinct.
