This July, to celebrate and pay homage to the classic Martini, award-winning bar Nutmeg & Clove presents July Martini Fantasies. For a one-night-only experience over the span of 4 weeks; in collaboration with the leading Gin brands – The Botanist, Ki No Bi, Four Pillars and Hendrick’s Gin, Nutmeg & Clove invited 4 renowned bartenders in the industry from around the world who have made a name in serving up a perfect martini.
Starting off the series on 13 July, Saturday, with Diageo World Class Japan National Champion, Kaori Kurakami. Kaori has been a Head Bartender at the Best Bar in Tokyo 2019 and #6 Asia’s 50 Best Bars, Bar High Five; founded by the well-respected Hidetsugu Ueno, for 9 years.
Following up on 16 July, Tuesday, Nutmeg & Clove presents the world-renowned Head Barman at Dukes London and a key figure in the drinks industry, Alessandro Palazzi. He has led Dukes’ martinis to be named the best in London, putting Dukes Bar on the map internationally.
On 23 July, Tuesday, serving up his classic stirred Martini is one of the world’s most respected bartenders, author, former President of the United Kingdom Bartenders’ Guild, and owner of The Donovan Bar in London, Salvatore Calabrese. With more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality business, Salvatore exemplifies the talent and quality he brings to the industry.
Ending the exciting line-up on 30 July, Tuesday, with Martina Breznanova, bar manager of the #6 World’s 50 Best Bars 2016 and #21 World’s 50 Best Bars 2017, The Gibson in London. Prior to working at The Gibson, the Slovakian-born also worked for the award-winning bar, Nightjar for 6 years.
