Continuing its almost 40-year legacy & tradition Kellogg Australia has once again partnered with Ocean6 to become the naming rights sponsor of the Nutri-Grain IronMan & IronWoman Series.

The Nutri-Grain IronMan & IronWoman Series will see the world’s best surf sports athletes tackle six epic rounds of action-packed racing on some of Australia’s most famous beaches. The Nutri-Grain Series will headline a thrilling 3-hour Ocean6 Live Finals package which will be broadcast on Fox Sports, showcasing the athletes battling it out and highlighting their incredible skills, all played out in front of a packed beach of die-hard fans.

Trent Goulding, Ocean6 General Manager, said “I am delighted to have Kellogg continue to be the driving force behind the Nutri-Grain IronMan & IronWoman Series. We can’t wait to continue this long-standing relationship which has become the pinnacle of the Australian summer.”

“We are thrilled to continue our support of the Nutri-Grain IronMan & IronWoman Series. This is a truly iconic Australian partnership, showcasing the determination of these unstoppable athletes every summer and we are very proud to once again be a part of this years’ competition”, said Dan Bitti, Nutri-Grain Marketing Manager.

The Nutri-Grain Ironman Series is already shaping up with some incredible storylines.

Shannon Eckstein is chasing his tenth title in what will likely be his final year racing at the highest level, but standing in his way is 5x Coolangatta Gold Champion Ali Day, who will be hungrier than ever after his last year’s runner up finish. Current Nutri-Grain Ironman Series Champion Matt Bevilacqua will be on the hunt for back-to-back titles, while Australian Ironman Champion Kendrick Louis will be riding a wave of confidence that could see him claim another major event win. We can also expect very strong showings from the next generation of James LacyMax Brooks, and TJ Hendy, who all showed they have what it takes to win a title.

The Nutri-Grain IronWoman Series will see the rivalry heat up again between Brielle Cooper and Harriet Brown. Cooper claimed a dramatic victory on a count back last summer, relegating Brown to a second place and denying her back-to-back Nutri-Grain IronWoman Series titles. Also featuring as a title contender is last year’s third place Georgia Miller, who recently relocated to the Gold Coast to train with Brown. Joining in the title conversation are Australian Ironwoman Champion Lana Rogers and Jordan Mercer. Mercer continues the journey to career best form after the injury that sidelined her following her 2016 Nutri-Grain Ironwoman Series victory.

Reigning Nutri-Grain Series Champion Matt Bevilacqua is excited to get back on the start line as the defending champion. “Winning my first Nutri-Grain Ironman title was a dream come true. I am really looking forward to the challenge of claiming back-to-back titles and think this summer is going to be red hot with so many guys capable of winning the Nutri-Grain Series!”
