Okura Afternoon Tea celebrates colourful scene of Japan’s ‘Koyo’ Autumn Festival

The popular High Tea set at The Okura Prestige Bangkok is to feature special yuzu-flavoured macaroons and other delicacies to mark the annual ‘Koyo’ Autumn Festival in Japan.

This festival, celebrated widely throughout Japan, marks the change of seasons with colours equally spectacular to the better-known Sakura Festival in the Spring.

Japan's Koyo Autumn festivalFrom 15 September 2014 the Okura Afternoon Tea, priced at Baht 780++ and served daily from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the hotel’s stylish Up & Above Bar, features new delicacies including yuzu-flavoured macaroons – each embellished with a delicate imprint of a Japanese Autumn symbol. The full Afternoon Tea set choices at Up & Above Bar include ‘Koyo’ yuzu jam roll; milk chocolate praline; mini butterfly puff; ‘Koyo’ chocolate pavé; ‘Koyo’ financier chestnut; cranberry white chocolate scone and vanilla scone with jam and cream. These same ‘Koyo’ macaroons will also be available at La Pâtisserie, priced individually at Baht 42 and also available in rolls of four (Baht 160) and eight (Baht 320).

The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s Autumn Festival Afternoon tea and macaroons, embellished with a delicate imprint of a Japanese Autumn symbol are available from 15 September – 31 October 2014.

La Pâtisserie is easily accessible via the BTS network at Phloen Chit station as it is located on the first floor of the Park Ventures Ecoplex at the corner of Wireless and Phloen Chit roads. Opens weekdays from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm; Saturdays from 8.00 am – 4:00 pm.
