Ola and Velocity Frequent Flyer have announced a new partnership that offers more Points earning opportunities than any other airline loyalty program and rideshare tie-up in Australia. To launch the new relationship, Ola will be gifting free rides*, up to $30, to the airport this Friday.
The partnership enables Velocity members to earn Velocity Points on every Ola ride and double Velocity Points on trips to and from eligible airports. Together, Ola and Velocity are delivering a door-to-door travel experience and a new way for Velocity members and travellers to turn their everyday spending into Velocity Points.
Velocity members can now earn one Velocity Point for every $1 spent on everyday Ola rides, and two Velocity Points for every $1 spent on rides both to and from eligible airports^. The Velocity Points will be credited to members’ accounts in real time and Velocity members will also earn 1,000 bonus Velocity Points when they take their first Ola ride#.

The first major loyalty partnership of its kind for Ola in Australia, the deal marks a milestone for the rideshare company as it continues its focus on providing a better value rideshare platform for both drivers and riders across the Tasman.

Points-savvy Velocity members will also be able to multiply the Velocity Points earning opportunities on each Ola ride, when using their Velocity Points-earning credit card as their Ola payment method.
To promote the new partnership, Ola will be running a promotion giving a free trip*, up to $30, to the first 1,000 passengers travelling to airports serviced by Ola around this country this Friday, who book a ride using the code OLAVFF. The launch is also being supported with a multi-channel integrated marketing campaign.
Now Australia’s second-largest rideshare platform, Ola operates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra and the Gold Coast, also servicing the major airports in these locations. Ola delivers a better value ride to passengers and a better deal to drivers, who take home more from every trip, as well as great everyday offers to customers, including 30% off trips to the airport, up to a maximum discount of $50.
Riders can download the Ola app from Google Play and the App Store, register for an Ola account and begin booking rides. To earn Velocity Points members must link their Velocity membership in the Ola app.
