With the first departures leaving in October, the Sri Lanka Family Adventure tour and Kids, Cultural Triangle & Beach tour welcomes children aged five and over while the Sri Lanka Adventure for Teens tour is for families with children 12 years and older.

On the Sri Lanka Family Adventure tour, families will discover the culture and wildlife of the Tear Drop Isle, travelling from one highlight to the next. The holiday starts with a climb to the top of Sigiriya Rock fortress, with incredible views of the surrounding picturesque area.

Next on the itinerary is a game drive in Minneriya National Park searching for elephants, sloth bears, and langur monkeys. The tour continues with a tuk tuk ride through Kandy, a visit to the Temple of the Tooth and a sightseeing tour of the capital, Colombo. Sri Lanka Adventure for Teens is an active nine-day group tour centred around exhilarating and adventurous activities ideal for keeping teenagers entertained. The tour kicks off with a cycle through the scenic countryside of Kithulgala, followed by exploration of the Bolilena cave and white-water rafting along the Kelani River the next day.

Travellers will head out on a 6km-long trek on the Kinchigune Nature Trail through the Riverine forest and along the Belihuloya River, stopping for an afternoon of canoeing. The active adventure ends with a hike to the World’s End viewpoint in Horton Plains National Park and a game drive in Udawalawe National Park. This eight-day Sri Lanka Adventure for Teens group tours costs from AU$2,895 per adult and from AU$1,795 per teenager.

Kids, Cultural Triangle & Beach tour brings together all the best of Sri Lanka’s culture, wildlife and beach across 13 days, travelling around the Cultural Triangle, visiting two national parks and relaxing along the coast. After discovering Sigiriya Rock, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla cave temple, families will explore the colonial city of Kandy.

From here, they will board a train for Happutale, the verdant tea plantations and tumbling waterfalls making for a very scenic journey. The adventure continues with a visit to the 30-foot Ravena Ella Falls and the second game drive of the trip in Yala National Park. The wildlife continues with possible sightings of baby turtles on the ‘Golden Mile’ beach in Beruwala, making it an idyllic end to an adventurous holiday.
