On 11 March 2016, visitors to ITB Berlin can find out about new individual routes for touring Kyrgyzstan. At 9 a.m. in the CityCube Berlin, in room M3, the travel agency NoviNomad will present its new travel routes which can be individually configured to tourists’ tastes.
Holidays on the farm, overnight stays in yurt settlements or private accommodation: since 2014 this is what NoviNomad has been able to offer travellers visiting Kyrgyzstan in order to interest them in the country’s people and culture. Nature lovers who take these routes can discover the hospitality, the nomadic way of life and actively take part in everyday life in Kyrgyzstan. They can also participate in many activities, for example in the north of the country by harvesting apricots or in the south by picking cotton.
The routes will take travellers across the impressive Kyrgyz landscape on foot, by horse and by car. There are also regular events and traditions that are an integral part of the local culture. Travellers can test their abilities by taking part in traditional riding games or visit felt carpet production where they can practise their own skills.
Commissioned by the German federal government, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH supports the development of the new routes which are off the beaten tourist track.
