German incoming tourism continues to grow dynamically. “One million additional nights in four months – this is further proof of the successful positioning of Germany as a travel destination. Europe, the most important source region for German incoming, stands for stability with a solid growth of 3.6 percent. The Asian and American markets continue to grow at a rate of 6.5 and 8.2 percent respectively,” explains Petra Hedorfer, Chairwoman of the Board of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB).
Overseas Markets: Growth from Australia Australia maintains its strong position and has further grown by 3.5% over the first four month of 2018. The number of overnight stays has increased to 154,066 from Jan-Apr18.
