One World Hotel Petaling Jaya’s Ongoing Effort to Putting A Smile on the Faces of the Less Fortunate

COne World Hotel Petaling Jaya shared the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan with the children of Pusat Jagaan Telaga Kasih at a high – tea reception hosted at the hotel’s coffee house, Cinnamon recently.

Upon their arrival to the hotel, they were welcomed by the Public Relations team led by Ms. Feryal Mufti, Public Relations Manager. Neatly dressed in traditional wear, the boys and girls mingled cheerfully while indulging in the spread of delectable dishes.

The event was further accentuated and made livelier as Awang; the most happening clown in Malaysia entertained and amused them with his antics and tricks. All thoroughly enjoyed themselves and took part in games.

“We believed in act of selflessness and compassion especially during the festive season for it is the time when the less fortunate requires more attention regardless of interaction or provision” said Mufti.

Big smiles and loud squeals of excitement indicate the success of the effort with presentation of goodie bags consist of prayer attire (‘telekung’ for the girls and ‘kain sarung pelikat’ for the boys), prayer mat (sejadah) and ‘duit raya’ to round up the event. Also sponsored were mattresses courtesy of the hotel and house hold essentials from individuals from various departments.

Pusat Jagaan Telaga Kasih depends on donations from the public to run its daily operations from house rental fee to food. For those who wish to offer assistance, do contact Puan Ainatul Imran at 011 – 3920 8500 for further details.
