Just like the entire Bürgenstock Resort, the Alpine Spa is a place of superlatives, ensuring its guests experience countless moments of awe and surprise. With its infinity edge pool 500 metres above Lake Lucerne, a spacious wet zone and the panorama Serenity Room, everything that quickens the pulse of wellness aficionados is provided in an area of over 10,000 square metres. Private Spas and a Ladies Spa provide all the privacy one could hope for, and at the historic outdoor pool, guests can enjoy the unique Alpine panorama, as did Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren before them.

“We don’t just have the most exclusive spa in Europe; at the Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa, every guestroom is an oasis of wellness with sublime views over the lake, a double bathtub right next to a panorama window, a fireplace, rain showers and amenities by Bulgari. Thanks to this unique offering, we have been able to take the lead as the best wellness hotel in Switzerland, which is both a great pleasure, and a real honour.” said Bruno H. Schöpfer, the Managing Director of Bürgenstock Selection.

In addition, Robert P. Herr, General Manager of the Bürgenstock Resort and therefore the person responsible for the hotel village on the Bürgenberg, received the title ‘Newcomer of the Year’. With this award, the SonntagsZeitung and the hotel connoisseur, Karl Wild, have honoured the work of Robert P. Herr, who has managed the opening and running of this monumental project with remarkable composure and aplomb.

“To open four hotels, eight restaurants, two spas and a Health & Medical Centre and to meet the high expectations of our guests on a daily basis with 600 new staff members is, indeed, a formidable challenge.  The pride of our staff in a product that is one of its kind in the entire world, the positive feedback from our guests and the major events that we have successfully organised are a great encouragement, and confirm my belief that we are on the right track.” remarked Robert P. Herr upon accepting his award.
