The Shenyang New World EXPO (EXPO), northeastern China’s newest and most modern meeting and exhibition venue will open 1 March 2017 with an impressive line-up of exhibitions to follow during the venue’s opening weeks.

Located in the capital city of Liaoning province in the heart of the region, EXPO includes 24,000 sqm (258,000 sq ft) of exhibition space and an additional 4,000 sqm (43,000 sq ft) of convention, meeting and banquet space. The venue has been carefully designed and located to meet the market demand for quality exhibitions and proactive buyers in the region as well as northern China.

EXPO General Manager Diane CHEN said, “It is with great excitement that we make this announcement today reflecting the immediate support that professional organizers are showing in the quality and location of EXPO as well as their confidence in Shenyang’s growing exhibition industry”.

EXPO’s inaugural exhibition will be DPES Sign & LED Expo China 2017 and held 1-3 March. The organizer is Guangzhou Xuanhua Exhibition Co., Ltd. The exhibition takes advantage of Shenyang’s important role in Northeast Asia’s economic ring.  DPES Shenyang in 2016 combined with several industry associations and built up a large trading platform for the sign equipment industry in Northeast China.

Next will be the 19th Northeast Dental Equipment Expo to be held 16-19 March organized by Northern Industry and Business Exhibition Co., Ltd. (NIBE). Held annually since 1999, the event has grown continuously. It has become one of the most successful international and professional events while having a most influential impact in North China.

Closely following will be the 23rd Northeast China Building Decoration Expo to be held 23-25 March and also organized by NIBE. The event will focus on the themes of energy conservation, environment protection and sustainable development. It is intended to become the platform for communication and trade of the latest products, the most sophisticated technology and the most advanced trends in the field of construction in Northeast China.

Opening the second month of EXPO operations will be the 2017 China (Shenyang) Auto Fair Expo on 1-4 April and organized by Liaoning Diwosite Exhibition Co. Ltd. The event is expected to have the participation of exhibitors representing nearly 70 auto brands with more than 500 models on display.

Rounding out the initial “big 5” opening exhibitions will be the 19th Northeast China Public Security Products Expo on 20-22 April organized by Liaoning Great Wall Exhibition Co. Ltd. The event was founded in 1999. With attendance growing to 25,000 this year, it has become the largest regional security exhibition making outstanding contributions to public security for Northeast China.

Cliff Wallace, Chairman of Shenyang New World EXPO (Management) Ltd. (SML) expressed optimism with the initial endorsement of EXPO through the support of these professional organizers stating, “We are grateful to our initial customers that will pave the way for so many exhibitors and buyers, enabling them to transact business for their companies and add to the economy of the region. The initial five exhibitions will average nearly 16,000 square meters each and result in 273,714 square meter (2,946,233 square foot) days of usage for EXPO making it one of the most successful openings of an exhibition venue in a second tier exhibition market within China”.

EXPO is owned by New World (Shenyang) Property Development Limited (NWPDL). SML is under a management and operating contract with NWPDL and a member of the NWS Holdings Ltd group of companies which include Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd.
