Australia’s largest food festival, the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month presented by Citi, is underway, enticing food lovers to Sydney and regional New South Wales to drink, dine and celebrate.
This year, the promotion is offering travel for two to New York City in conjunction with international airline and accommodation partners Cathay Pacific and Accor Hotels.
To celebrate Good Food Month and all things Spring, Opera Bar at Sydney Opera House transformed itself into a magical Secret Garden on Wednesday evening in an event sponsored by Hendrick’s Gin, Mumm Champagne and Pure Blonde.
The garden bar featured a selection of food stations including a dessert bar filled with sweet delights, an oyster station with oysters from Coffin Bay and Pambula, and an abundance of charcuterie and cheese boards being passed around.
With a live band set up in the secret garden, a magician wandering around playing tricks on guests and live reptiles making the rounds, there was plenty going on to keep guests entertained.
Opera Bar will continue Spring celebrations throughout this month with offerings including its new Spring menu as the Melbourne Cup draws steadily closer.
