Outstanding Workers from Across the World Invited to Visit UNESCO World Heritage Site Absolutely Free of Charge
From May 1-3, 2015, workers from across the world whose performance is deemed outstanding by colleagues and peers will be able to visit the Mount Qingcheng-Dujiangyan tourism scenic spot in China completely free of charge.
To qualify as an ‘outstanding worker’, employees will need to obtain an ‘outstanding worker certificate’, in addition to public recognition from at least ten colleagues and friends.
The initiative was announced at a media buffet in London, UK, to commemorate workers worldwide and the four colorful seasons of the beautiful Mount Qingcheng-Dujiangyan, which was designated a UNESCO world heritage site in the year 2000.
When interviewed, the organizers of the activity announced that tourists from many countries, including the UK, US, and France can enjoy a 48-hour visa-waiver offer when they come to Chengdu, making it convenient for visitors to spend a weekend in Dujiangyan at any time.
Employees keen to apply can do so through social media, by saying, for example; “I am a good worker and I am taking part in the Mount Qingcheng-Dujiangyan activity. Please leave a comment if you support me.”
Global participants who conform to the conditions above are free to enjoy a visit to Mount Qingcheng-Dujiangyan, which plays host to a wide variety of activities throughout the year, during the period from May 1-3.
Organizing officials declared their respect for the workers of Li Bin, who contributed to the construction of the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project over 2,000 years ago, and which has been of great benefit to people living on the Chengdu Plain.
Today, the world’s outstanding workers, together with people of Dujiangyan, are welcomed to establish the city as an international tourism destination, while also stressing the need to show respect for ordinary workers with the pushing forward of China’s opening up policy.
