Philippine Airlines (PAL) is proposing a codeshare agreement with Delta Air Lines in a move to broaden its US operations.
Manila newspaper the Philippine Inquirer said PAL president Jaime Bautista confirmed that the Philippine flag carrier recently approached Delta.
The proposal is seen as a way of leveraging PAL’s nonstop flights from Manila to the US and Delta’s massive domestic network, the paper said.
PAL aims to expand its presence in the US, one of its most profitable destinations
PAL has taken delivery of its seventh B777-300ER, to be used to increase flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
