Luxury hotel Palazzo Versace Gold Coast is set to launch “Musica Palazzo”, a series of spectacular live operatic performances taking centre stage at the world’s first fashion branded hotel from October 14 until December 23, 2016.
Celebrating the beauty of the operatic art form, “Musica Palazzo” was inspired by the late Gianni Versace’s passion for the arts, which the team at Palazzo Versace Gold Coast have embraced in their entertainment culture and vision for the hotel. “Opera is engrained in our brand’s DNA as the late Gianni Versace was an opera costume designer when he first started his career. We adore the art form and cannot wait to showcase Opera Queensland’s most talented artists under our grand chandelier and in our signature dining venue, Vanitas”, said Claire Huang, General Manager at Palazzo Versace Gold Coast.
Favourite OperaQ baritone Jason Barry-Smith and soprano Susan Ellis will each headline the first two performances with renowned Australian operatic accompanist, Head of Music Narelle French on Palazzo Versace’s baby grand piano.
Guests are invited to take a seat at the “Opera Lounge” in Le Jardin and enjoy a range of elegant snacks and drinks, including their signature Byron Bay Charcuterie Board and bottle of wine for $100 for two.
For an elevated experience, guests can delight in an intimate live performance in Vanitas whilst enjoying an indulgent two course menu for $90 per person or three courses for $110 per person including a welcome glass of Ruinart Champagne. Dishes include; Red claw yabby, chive emulsion, vanilla rooibos, pedro ximenez and apple for entrée; Snowy river rainbow trout, spanner crab and buckwheat risotto, onion dashi and fried garlic for main; and Valrhona tainori chocolate mousse raspberry, szechuan pepper for dessert.
The series will be wrapped up by a Festive Friday performance each Friday evening in December in celebration of Christmas.
