Palazzo Versace Gold Coast is delighted to announce the appointment of Claire Huang as their new General Manager, as well as highlight the hotel’s five-star management team.
Having worked in various luxury hotel management roles including General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing and Resident Manager for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Asia Pacific over the past 19 years, Claire’s impressive experience and passion for the industry have led her to this new and exciting position.

Drawing from my experience in luxury hotels, I look forward to enhancing the guest experience and team culture here at Palazzo Versace.” Said Claire.
Joining the team as the hotel’s Director of Sales and Marketing is Georgina Terepai. Georgina’s extensive experience in marketing strategy and delivering outstanding profit ratio is a welcomed addition to the team. Georgina is joined by Jasmine Webb Marketing and Communications Manager, who has been with the hotel for two years, both concentrating on driving innovation and launching a series of bespoke special experiences in the coming weeks together with the team. “Palazzo Versace is famous for owning the special occasion, we are very exciting to roll out a series of luxury experiences that take celebrating a special occasion to the next level. The experiences include The Empire, Proposals, Baby Moons, Anniversaries, Birthdays and a Luxury Shopping Spree.” Said Georgina.
Driving a cutting edge culinary team at the haute hotel is Executive Chef Grant Murray,
with 20 years of experience in kitchens of large luxury hotels and stand-alone restaurants in South Africa, London, the Middle East and Australia, Grant embraces innovation and has successfully revamped menus across Palazzo Versace’s award-winning restaurant venues with a focus on enhancing the hotel’s famous Seafood Buffet, Vanitas restaurant and the hotel’s Signature High Tea this Spring.
The service team includes Food and Beverage Manager John Forest and Front Office Manager Alicia Denning. John and Alicia have established themselves as key advocates for driving a new excellence in service culture at Palazzo Versace, which includes enhancing the hotel’s famous High Tea experience located in the beautiful hotel with shimmering views of the antique chandelier which once shone its light in the grand state library of Milan – a gift from the late Gianni Versace. The enhancements also include launching Champagne on arrival for all guests staying at the hotel in the coming weeks.
Located on the hotel’s mosaic driveway – the second-largest pebble mosaic in the world, the first being outside of Parliament House in Rome – are two bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantoms, custom made especially for Palazzo Versace. The twin luxury vehicles have been offered to guests as the ultimate way to make a grand entrance, and have been a popular mode of transport for guests, especially locals, since arriving in time for the hotel’s milestone 15th birthday in September 2015. “Our dedicated Rolls-Royce team liaise directly with the guest before their journey to ensure their trip is unforgettable. We work with the guest to arrange a playlist of their favourite music, preferred temperature of air conditioning, choice of Champagne as well as selecting their preferred route to ensure they take the sites of the Gold Coast in – Versace style.” Said Alicia.
The hotel has also announced the appointment of Human Resources Manager, Ashley Patch, Ashleigh will play an integral role in developing the hotel’s meticulous service culture with elegance and flair.
Palazzo Versace will celebrate their Sweet 16th Birthday on September 15 with a special dinner featuring Dom Pérignon and Live Opera in Vanitas.
