“I am excited to be launching today in the Australian market. Paperplane Marketing and Communications has been in the making for a while. We wanted to ensure that we had the right mix and skill set to be able to assist clients in reaching their objectives,” said Peta Sullivan, Owner and Founder of Paperplane Marketing and Communications.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Australian resident departures hit a record high for 2012-13 with 58% of the 8.4 million citing ‘holiday’ as their reason for travel. Total outbound departures are forecast to continue to record solid growth for the future years.

“There is huge potential for travel and tourism organisations in this market due to the Australians’ love of travel and their desire to be trailblazers and experience something new. What really sets Paperplane Marketing and Communications apart is the strength and the broad range of our experience. Our staff previously worked for some of the most diverse destinations and travel companies around the world. From launching five star destinations through to product development for developing nations, and everything in between – we know how to deliver results for our clients,” Sullivan continued.

Sullivan started the agency after working for 20 years in the travel and tourism industry. She was most recently employed with Hill+Knowlton Strategies as Director of their travel and tourism division, where she oversaw accounts including Air New Zealand and Positively Wellington Tourism.  Sullivan also held the position of Country Manager Australia for Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority.  Prior to this she worked for the Canadian Tourism Commission as Marketing Manager Australia.

“The old saying, ‘you get what you pay for’, definitely rings true when looking for representation in the Australian market. Our business is our staff therefore our team are selected based on their creativity, experience and knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand market. We ensure our clients are provided with a dedicated senior account manager who is capable of getting the results expected and a strong return on their marketing investment.  We are not positioning the agency as the cheapest in the market and we are definitely not the most expensive however we believe that we provide a service that is second to none,” says Sullivan.

Paperplane Marketing and Communications is based in Manly and offers destination representation, consumer marketing, public relations, social media and MICE development in the Australian and New Zealand market.
