Camden’s Bicentennial Equestrian Park in Macarthur will ‘go to the dogs’ on Sunday, May 7, 2017 as it hosts the annual Paws in the Park, a free and fun day out for ‘everyone and their dog’.
Held from 9am to 1pm, the fun-filled event will see dog lovers and their four-legged friends gather for dog demonstrations, free vet checks, more than 40 market stalls, and a photo booth – ensuring owners get a special snap with their dogs.
At 10am competitions will be judged for best trick, cutest puppy, fancy dress, best dressed dog in footy colours, and even waggiest tale. A 3km walk will take place on the day, allowing attendees to take a walk in the park with other dog owners.
Demonstrations in obedience and agility will also take place, as well as games of flyball – a canine team sport in which dogs of all sort compete in running, jumping and fetching relays, led by their owners. Also on offer will be Royal Canin showbags, discounted microchipping and a jumping castle.
The event aims to encourage and celebrate responsible pet ownership, and is run by Camden Council with Royal Canin. For more information, call 4645 5034 or visit the ‘What’s On’ page at www.macarthur.com.au
