From Christmas in Bethlehem to a one-off tour marking the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Peregrine Adventures has revealed a suite of new Limited Edition experiences in 2019 and 2020.

With only one or two departures on each trip, Peregrine’s Limited Edition tours live up to their name, offering only a small group of 12 or less travellers the chance to join each special experience.

Brett Mitchell said Peregrine’s Limited Edition tours were not the sort of trips you would find in an app or guidebook.

“Often centred around a moment in history or a natural phenomenon, our Limited Edition tours offer our customers the chance to combine a special interest with their love of travel. Led by expert local leaders, the bespoke tours offer the best possible immersion in the place and occasion,” Brett Mitchell, Regional Director Asia Pacific for Intrepid Group.

“Wine connoisseurs won’t be able to resist the chance to discover Georgian wine culture which dates back more than 8000 years, while history buffs won’t want to miss our special tour to Berlin that coincides with the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. For something extra special at Christmas time there are two new tours including an Orthodox Christmas in Ukraine’s highlands or the chance to go back to where it all began, a magical Christmas in Bethlehem.”

Peregrine’s new Limited Edition trips include:

Christmas in Bethlehem

Enjoy a Christmas like no other on this festive eight-day adventure in the Holy Land of Israel and the Palestinian Territories. This tour offers an unforgettable Christmas experience including the chance to join the annual Christmas day procession to Bethlehem, Midnight Mass and dinner with Bethlehem locals, visit the Christmas Markets, make a pilgrimage to Nazareth, swim in the Dead Sea and explore the ancient sites of Tel Aviv. Wine in Georgia

With over 500 varieties of endemic grapes and the world’s first cultivated grapevines, the wine-growing regions of Georgia are a mecca for wine connoisseurs. On this eight-day tour, travellers will learn the ancient techniques of Georgian wine making, visit the country’s most famous wine-producing region Kvareli, travel into the Caucasus Mountains on a visit to the 18th-century hilltop town of Sighnaghi while sampling natural wines, take a walking tour of Tbilisi, and taste Georgian staples at a cooking masterclass. Priced from $2275* per person twin share, the trip departs on September 14, 2019, and October 5, 2020.

Fall of the Berlin Wall

This 10-day trip offers history buffs the chance to be in Berlin to take part in the official 30th anniversary celebrations of the fall of the wall. Beginning and ending in Berlin, the trip includes a visit to Checkpoint Charlie, the Wall Memorial, Gdansk, the German Embassy in Prague where the mass exodus from East Germany started, and Dresden, to experience the food and culture of East Germany. On this 13-day tour, travellers can explore cultural sites and natural wonders that are rarely seen by non-Peruvian eyes including the impressive concentric structures of the ancient fortress city of Kuelep and the chance to stay in a lodge with views of Gotca Falls, the world’s third largest waterfall which was unknown to anyone but locals until 2005.
