Peregrine Adventures have released their 2019 Africa and the Middle East itineraries, bringing new options for travellers venturing to Turkey, Israel and the Palestinian Territories, Georgia and South Africa.

Hot spots within the region include Turkey with a 182 per cent increase of global travellers visiting the country this calendar year. Travel to Israel has increased 78 per cent in the same period and Georgia is up 105 per cent.

“More travellers are now realising there is a degree of risk wherever they travel in the world and are no longer letting fear deter them from uncovering relatively untouched and incredible destinations. With this in mind, and travellers increasing desire for adventure, we have created five brand new itineraries for 2019,” said Jenny Gray, Middle East and Africa Product Manager at Peregrine Adventures.

Classic adventures through Turkey will give Peregrine guests the chance to see the countries highlights and long time favourites such as Cappadocia, Selcuk, Istanbul and Bodrum in nine short days. Starting from $1,695, the itinerary explores two of the ancient wonders of the world: the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus and the last remaining column of the Temple of Artemis, overnight train travel and authentic Turkish cuisine.

In 2019, Peregrine will also take guests on a nine day tour to Northern Turkey, one of the most relatively undiscovered locations by mainstream tourists. Kicking off in Istanbul, guests will soak up their local history before flying to Kars to explore the ruins of Ani, then travel back along the Black Sea through the historic towns of Amaysa and Safranbolu. Prices start at $1,950.

Guests are now available to experience the best of South Africa with Peregrine’s new nine day adventure from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls starting from $5,995. This ultimate wildlife adventure will feature some of southern Africa’s finest scenery, wildlife and one of the world’s most impressive natural wonders, Victoria Falls.

There are also new tours for travellers wishing to experience Christmas overseas. Starting from $4,340, Peregrine’s eight day limited edition Christmas in Bethlehem trip explores an abundance of Christmas markets, allows guests to enjoy a Christmas dinner with locals and take in the rich history of the Israel and Palestinian Territories.

Peregrine are now offering wine lovers the opportunity to explore over 500 varieties of endemic grapes and the world’s first cultivated grapevines in Georgia. Starting from $2,275, the eight day limited edition Wine in Georgia trip takes guests to the wine-growing region of Kakheti in East Georgia where they will witness how wine in made in local families and see how it is stored in more established wineries.
