Perfect Spot : Holland’s Legendary Hotel in the Middle of Seminyak

November 14, 2016 Resort News No Comments Print Print Email Email

Named after Holland’s legendary Hotel Des Indes, Des Indes Villas lie on the grounds of the prestigious and exclusive Laksmana Estate in Seminyak, located only a stone’s throw to Petitenget Beach and some of Bali’s best bars, exquisite restaurants, luxury boutiques and swanky spas. The lavish interlinked villas are made of two-bedroom Des Indes II and three-bedroom Des Indes III. If you are looking for a chic villa to accommodate large families and groups of friends, these two villas are connected by a wall of double doors and plantation shutters that can be opened to create a five-bedroom villa – with two pools – and can sleep up to 10 adults and 4 children.

The fully-staffed villas charm residents easily with the traditional Bali-style open living, colonial-style furniture, precious Chinese and Indonesian ceramics and antique artefacts. A myriad of natural materials is also visible in the villas’ design; Palimanan stone carvings, teakwood-lined pavilions and gleaming Italian marble floors. Among the heritage influence are 21st-century luxuries such as top-range King Koil mattresses, crisp cotton bed linen and 47-inch TVs with satellite channels and DVD players in every bedroom.

For those who want to venture outside the villas, take a short stroll to the world-famous Ku De Ta or Potato Head for sunset cocktails, shop to one’s heart content in one of the many boutiques or dine at La Luciolla across the road. However, for a far more relaxing vacation, read one of the many books and magazines lying around, take a relaxing siesta on a sun lounger, quell the heat of summer in the enormous private pool and feast on gourmet meals created by the accomplished private chef. To end the day, retire to the air-conditioned comfort of the sumptuous bedroom, soak in the bathtub and finally sink to the comfortable four-poster bed.
