Holland America marked the occasion of their ship, the MS Noordam, visiting Sydney by welcoming 24 of TravelManagers’ personal travel managers (PTMs) aboard for an inspection followed by lunch aboard the ship.

Personal travel manager Janice Lee, representative for Surry Hills found the personal experience invaluable.

“Having the opportunity to personally experience the ship facilities, walk around and see the entertainment and activities aboard and even enjoy a meal makes it so much easier to describe in detail the cruise experience my clients can expect,” explains Lee.  “It also makes it easier to gauge whether this particular ship is the right match for them.”

TravelManagers’ personal travel managers together with national partnership office representatives spent the day inspecting the MS Noordam during its stopover in Sydney.

The MS Noordam is one of Holland America Line’s Vista Class ships, and generally spends the northern summers plying the waters of the Pacific Northwest, before making its way to Australia to spend the southern hemisphere’s summer exploring New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and Australia.

Personal travel manager Julianne Gazal-Rizk, cruise specialist and representative for Willoughby was wowed by the hosted lunch.

“Holland America employs a team of world-class consultant chefs, whose job it is to ensure that the food served is innovative, fresh and of the best quality, so a holiday on one of their vessels is true foodie heaven! The ship has ten dining options ranging from fine dining in the Asian-inspired Tamarind restaurant to gourmet burgers and New York-style pizzas served poolside, its great knowing there’s something for everyone.”

TravelManagers’ Executive General Manager Michael Gazal welcomes the opportunity for its PTMs to participate in days like this one.

“Providing our clients with the best possible service and advice is a major priority for us, and a big part of that is ensuring that our PTMs have great product knowledge.  The cruise market is a major growth area for TravelManagers, so we encourage our PTMs to seize opportunities of this nature whenever they arise.”
