Sydneysiders will have an exclusive opportunity to experience exquisite Peruvian cuisine next month with the arrival of the Peruvian Gastronomic Festival hosted by acclaimed Peruvian chef, Adolfo Perret.

With Adolfo Perret, Executive Chef and Co-owner of Peru’s popular Punta Sal Restaurants, at the helm, this week-long festival will showcase the very best in Peruvian cuisine. The event will feature a varied range of delicious lunch and amazing dinner menus for guests to choose from, sample and savour.

Peru is experiencing an outstanding food revolution and is increasingly appearing on the international tourist map as a must-see epicurean destination. Two top Peruvian restaurants, Astrid & Gaston and Virgilio Martinez’s Central recently appeared in the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2013. Lima, Peru’s capital will play host to the inaugural Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants awards taking place in September this year.

image002 (1)Adding to Peru’s exciting transformation, the country was crowned the World’s Leading Culinary Destination in the World Travel Awards in 2012, and with its famous food festivals including The Mistura Food Festival attracting record visitor numbers, Peru is quickly making its mark as a global culinary epicentre.

The Peruvian Gastronomic Festival is an exciting opportunity to celebrate one of the most fascinating countries of Latin America, Peru, and its internationally recognised unique cuisine.

Sydney’s Peruvian Gastronomic Festival will offer guests a taste of why Peruvian cuisine is the fashionable fare of the moment. Gourmands will have the opportunity to indulge in Adolfo’s showcase of exceptional culinary delights, as he combines innovation with deeply rooted Peruvian flavours, premium sustainable ingredients and ancestral techniques.

As more travellers head to Peru to experience its world of flavours, the Peruvian Gastronomic Festival will give Sydney food-lovers the chance to experience some of Peru’s best cuisine in their own backyard.

Lunch will be available for $60 per adult Monday to Saturday and dinner will be offered for $70 per adult Monday to Thursday, and for $95 per adult Friday to Saturday.
