On Monday night, members of P&O Cruises sales and marketing team plus key travel partners, joined the Queensland Maroons for the 2019 series launch with a special event at Howard Smith Wharves, Brisbane where coach Kevin Walters announced the new captain of the Queensland team. Joining Maroons players, past and present, was Laura Thompson who P&O recently named the state’s biggest Maroon fan in a competition to mark its new partnership with the Queensland Rugby League.
In March 2019, the Queensland Rugby League welcomed P&O Cruises as the Major Partner of its expanding Maroon Membership program for the next two years. The partnership brings together two of the state’s favourite pastimes – State of Origin rugby league and South Pacific cruising – to create unique and rewarding fan experiences for Queenslanders.
