P&O Cruises’ Pacific Dawn And Pacific Explorer In ‘Salute At Sea’ Off Queensland Coast

September 4, 2017 Cruise No Comments Email Email

Extending the courtesies of the sea, P&O Cruises’ Pacific Dawn and Pacific Explorer (pictured from the bridge wing of Pacific Dawn) passed each other in magnificent weather off the coast of Queensland earlier today.

It became a fantastic cruise highlight for guests as both ships saluted each other with the enthusiastic sounding of their ‘whistles’. Dawn and Explorer passed each other just after 9am today (Friday).

Pacific Dawn was on the way home to Brisbane and the Sydney-based Pacific Explorer was on her way north to Airlie Beach and a warm welcome to the Whitsundays from local cruise volunteers.
