PONANT’s Sydney office leads the way with the release of a series of 360° photosphere global visuals that go beyond ship-interiors, presenting an evocative library of ‘in situ’ rotational images displaying PONANT ships in various destinations. New photospheres are progressively being added and viewable on this link: http://bit.ly/PONANT-
Designed as an adjunct to traditional brochures, these photospheres provide a visually involving way for people to connect with PONANT voyage experiences. The first production stemmed from photography captured by Australian photographer and producer Tony Redhead during a voyage onboard L’Austral from Bali to Cairns. Recognising the immediate potential of these photospheres led PONANT’s Sydney based Marketing team to commission a series of productions designed to highlight destinations and experiences encountered. Another shooting has already been completed in New Zealand.
Click-and-drag photosphere examples released to date give site visitors the feel of being on a particular secluded beach, exploring by Zodiac, or the breathtaking view of a bay, ship and surrounds from a hill.
The PONANT 360° photospheres have already received over 13,000 views on Google Views, with images of Alor in Indonesia proving to be the most popular so far. L’Austral approaching Stirling Falls in Milford Sound currently holds a close second spot, while a deserted beach in the Kei Islands, snorkelling at Pink Beach (Komodo) and L’Austral in Sydney Harbour are also popular.
PONANT will soon be releasing shore excursions experiences too, including the encounter with people of a remote Asmat village, the sights and colour of a fish market in Alor or the visit to a classroom in Larantuka.
