Popularity Of Qantas Restaurants Soars

Qantas Restaurants has become the third largest restaurant booking platform in the country, just one year since its launch.

In partnership with Dimmi Australia’s online restaurant reservations platform – Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn Qantas Points by booking online and dining at some of the country’s most popular restaurants.

CEO and Dimmi Founder Stevan Premutico said: “Frequent Flyers are wining and dining their way to increased Qantas Points and, in just under a year, bookings via Qantas Restaurants have given our restaurant partners a material revenue boost.”

“We’re expecting that to continue as both restaurants and restaurantgoers embrace the ease and convenience of online bookings.

Beyond being able to offer Qantas Points, our point of difference is access to over 2,500 restaurants Australiawide, over 500 thousand restaurant reviews and the ability to make a booking 24 hours a day with no booking fees and instant confirmation.”

Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said today Qantas Frequent Flyer offers members hundreds of ways to earn Qantas Points for activities other than flying.

“From buying groceries, using your credit card, dining out and enjoying a glass of wine through to shopping online, you really can earn Qantas Points as part of your normal daytoday activities,” Ms Grant said.

“Many of our members have told us that they would be dining at participating restaurants regardless, so they’re effectively gaining Qantas Points for doing something that they were going to do anyway.

“Instead of picking up the phone to make a restaurant reservation, members are doing it online and they’re saying this is actually a much more efficient and convenient way to book.

“We are not surprised Qantas Restaurants has been a hit with Frequent Flyers, but to be the third biggest booking channel in the country in the space of a year is something we are very proud of as we continue to expand the opportunities for our members to maximise their Qantas Points.”

Qantas Restaurants regularly provides Frequent Flyers with the opportunity to earn bonus Qantas Points along with other promotions such as discounts of up to 50% off restaurant food bills. Restaurants vary from chic and casual to fine dining. Qantas Restaurants celebrated its first anniversary in February 2015
