A luxury APT Mekong River cruise prize is being used to encourage travel agency clients to vote in a new industry accolade. AFTA opened voting yesterday for consumers to nominate their favourite travel agent as part of a new National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) category: People’s Choice: Retail Travel Agency of the Year.
For NTIA 2016, AFTA is collaborating with Australian Traveller Media to bring the new award category to the NTIA. The aim, AFTA says, is “elevating bricks and mortar suburban ATAS travel agencies in the hearts and minds of consumers”.
The Retail Travel Agency of the Year will be determined by consumers through accumulation of votes through the existing annual People’s Choice Awards program run by Australian Traveller Media.
Voting is now open and ATAS accredited travel agencies are encouraged to get their clients voting! Consumers who vote will go in the draw to win a luxury APT Mekong River cruise, worth AUD 15,890.
Consumers can submit their vote via the online survey or by completing a hardcopy form in the January edition of International Traveller Magazine.
Voting will remain open until 5pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 23 March 2016.
