Progressive Wine Luncheons in the Macarthur region for 2014 will give diners the opportunity to feast on the fine food and exquisite wine of the historic region, just 45 minutes from the Sydney CBD.

Fussy Grape winery verticalRegarded as the birthplace of the Australian wine industry, the region is named after colonial entrepreneur John Macarthur, who in 1817 first planted vines in the fertile soil of the Camden area from cuttings he brought from France. His legacy has continued, with winemaking continuing to this day.

The luncheon will include a different course and wine tasting, as well as an address by wine makers at three different wineries – Fussy Grape, Trattoria La Vigna and Razorback Ridge Wines.

Beginning at Fussy Grape Cellar Door at 11.30am for canapés, diners will then drive to Trattoria La Vigna Ristorante & Winery for main course, and then to Razorback Ridge for desserts. All designated drivers on the day will also go into the draw to win a bottle of wine to enjoy back home.

The four-hour, self-drive progressive lunch tours are available at $65 per person. Bookings are essential.
